Our office is undergoing renovations this month to better serve our tenants, employees, and clients. With a new company name, a new look is in the works! We are also expanding our office space, adding two additional offices.
Our Westmount housing project where we broke ground June 17, 2016 has also seen progress in its development. Our builders have been working hard to make more affordable housing available this winter!
Making Right at Home Housing Society Right for Your Home
Charlene has worked with Right at Home Housing Society since 2013. Some of you may recognize her as our administrative support, but she has recently garnered a promotion into a housing management role. Jillanne Bowler-Veltman will be seen in the near future more prominently in Charlene’s old role at the front desk. Jillanne is also managing communications with our stakeholders.
As our tenant database increases and we add properties to our operations, more responsibilities will be placed upon project managers. These managers will be focusing on a select number of assigned properties and their respective tenants. By expanding our staff roles, we are ensuring our staff can dedicate the appropriate amount of time possible for our tenants. We strongly believe here,
at Right at Home Housing Society, that the tenant’s needs come first. We look forward to serving you better as we build our team.
Westmount Developments Underway
We broke ground at the old site for Westmount Presbytarian Church just four months ago. Today, the geothermal drilling is done, with over half of the tie-in headers installed and backfilled. The church foundation is poured, and the basement plumbing rough in is done. We have the church subfloor on, the basement floor ready to pour and backfill completed this week. We should also have the water and sewer lines installed, the remaining geo lines tied in and be starting on the townhouse excavation before Nov 1, 2016.
With this progress, Right at Home Housing Society is excited to see the development taking shape. Our Westmount project will have primarily family units. We are working with the Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers to select and support many of the families that will call this property “home.” The North Glenora community has welcomed our work with establishing affordable housing, and we continue to build our relationship with the residents. We are proud to be part of a YIMBY community that will offer opportunities to many.
We strongly look forward to presenting the new face of Right at Home Housing Society.
