Render of the Norwood Family Housing Project – To be completed September 2018

Right at Home Housing Society has an ongoing commitment to  the central Edmonton communities and we are proud to be developing a comfortable living space within the Norwood neighbourhood that captured our hearts years ago. The Norwood family housing project is steps away from our office and will have construction completed by September 2018. With a mix of two and three bedroom units, the new apartment complex will be able to lift  22 families out of poverty while transforming three derelict properties into livable and affordable space.

Right at Home will continue its working relationship with Ayre and Oxford Inc. as the management body for this project, as well as developing ties with The Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre to create additional supports for our tenants. The goal is to transition local families out of derelict housing and replace their current living conditions with a safe, high quality, and affordable home, which we believe is the foundation for endless opportunity thereafter.

The Norwood family housing project will be a mixed market model, with a portion of market rent plus affordable units. It is close  to many amenities and has an elementary school for young children directly across the street, with public transport just steps from  the front door. We are excited to see this project enhance the Norwood neighbourhood and bring families together as they are empowered to live their best life.
