Right at Home Housing Society has two new and exciting projects underway that will contribute to our ability to offer further options for affordable housing in Edmonton.

Building Relationships in Belvedere

Right at Home will be constructing a 42 unit apartment building  in the Belvedere neighbourhood. This building will offer future tenants close proximity to transit and amenities, while enhancing the the Belvedere community – a brand new building will take the place of five derelict homes and we will also be investing in the next door park space. The project will start construction with the foundation being poured in late June of 2018, and construction is estimated to be completed before 2020. Right at Home will continue conversations and updates with the Belvedere community league throughout construction and upon completion.

Making Room in Millbourne

The Right at Home Housing Society Millbourne Mews Site

Another new project is located on an underused portion of our existing Millbourne Mews site, a well maintained project that has been in the Richfield community for over 30 years. The new townhomes will be provided for large families that are on low income. The development includes six generously sized units: four with four bedrooms, and two five bedroom units, . We will be working with EMCN to identify families to live in these new homes, and to provide additional supports for the families as they settle in. Each home has access to private amenity area. The building will be built to exceed the energy code, ensuring a green construction. Ground breaking has already commenced and construction is underway.
