The Beacon, located in the north east community neighbourhood of Beacon Heights, will provide 21 new homes on what used to be a hotel parking lot. A look at the rendering shows stacked townhomes that will provide a mix of two, three and four bedroom units. Right at Home will continue its relationship with the Multicultural Health Brokers to select families who are experiencing low-income that can benefit from affordable housing. This partnership will provide extra supports for the residents to ensure their success as they settle into their new home and community. Construction of the new building is about 40% completed and we should see the units become available for occupancy in the summer of 2022. We are thankful to the City of Edmonton, that issued us a grant to cover 25% of the project costs, and of course, our donors and other supporters.
