The Norwood Family Homes complex was built in 2000 and was the first of Right at Home’s properties to be built in the Alberta Avenue Community. Since then, the Society has developed more affordable housing projects in the area, demonstrating our ability to be good neighbours.

Small Family Housing

Six affordable units are located on the property, offering two and three-bedroom sized homes for smaller families that are managed under a supportive model. Each unit has its own private yard space for the families and children to enjoy.

Our Impact

6 Families Housed

An estimated 10 children in households who are experiencing housing insecurity will be housed at Norwood Family Housing during a single point in time.

Accessible Amenities

Families living in Norwood Family Homes will have easy access to public transportation, shopping, schools, the Norwood Community Services Centre, and community parks.

Lasting Generations

Approximately 10 children will be lifted out of poverty through living at Norwood Family Homes, allowing for the next generation to thrive as the cycle of poverty is broken.

Community Supported

Right at Home received funding for construction of the property from the Edmonton Community Lottery Board, The Minerva Foundation, and the Allen Family Fund.

Our housing is available on a first come, first served basis. Please note that due to our housing being a long-term service, our vacancy rate is low and it may take up to four years for an applicant to reach the top of the wait list.
